Army Dental Corps official notification

1. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for grant of Short Service
Commission in Army Dental Corps (AD Corps).
2. Total No. of vacancies - 37
3. ELIGIBILITY
(a) Candidates must be BDS/MDS (with minimum 55% marks in final year
BDS) from a College/University recognized by Dental Council of India
(DCI).
(b) Should have completed one year rotatory Internship recognized by DCI
by 31 Aug 2013.
(c) Should be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificate
valid at least upto 31 Dec 2013.
(d) Should be less than 45 years of age as on 31 Dec 2013.
(e) Should be medically fit in all respects for service in the Armed Forces.
4. SELECTION PROCEDURE
(a) Short-listing for interview: Candidates found eligible will be shortlisted based on their Final year BDS marks and attempts taken in Final
year BDS. Short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
(b) Medical Examination: Candidates provisionally placed on merit list
after interview by Selection Board will be brought before a Medical
Board for ascertaining their Medical Fitness. The decision of the
Medical Board will be final.

  1. i have done MDS in Endodontics with 2 + yrs experience. my selection will be either on BDS or MDS or they give prefernce to MDS dentist

  2. hello deepak, Your mds degree will help you to clear the screening cutt off, generally it goes up to 70% final bds marks, but they allow all mds candidates, after clearing this mds doesnt matter much, you have to perform well in interview and show them that you are competent in general practice. wish you gpood luck

  3. well 70% ... then was the use of mentionin 55% and above if it is fixed that they wont take.

    1. 55% in mimimum eligiblity,, cutt off is for short listing, it keeps on changing every year, so dont worry about cutt off. 70% was last tym cut off, this time it may be lower or higher
